Executive says Sberbank’s 2023 net profit can top pre-crisis level
MOSCOW, May 18 (PRIME) -- Russia’s top bank Sberbank is highly likely to get a net profit in 2023 that is to exceed the pre-crisis level, Director of the finance department Taras Skvortsov told reporters on Thursday.
“If we calculate the value basing on the capital, it is clear that we have a high possibility of getting a net profit higher than before the crisis,” he said.
Sberbank’s net profit amounted to 270.5 billion rubles in 2022, and 1.246 trillion rubles in 2023.
According to the bank’s presentation, the corporate loan portfolio is to rise by 13–15% and the retail loan portfolio by over 14–16% in 2023. Corporate deposits can grow by 18–20% and retail deposits by 9–13%.
Skvortsov also said that Sberbank is presently discussing a new strategy including a dividend policy until 2026, and will present it at the end of 2023.
